I was born and brought up in a Hindu family. I was named as Srinivasa Rao. Like every Hindu young man I lived with a great contempt of low caste people and in particular of Christians. I never wanted to know anything about Jesus or of Christian life. The mere mention of the name brought in me a feeling of aversion and hatred. This is in short about my pre-salvation days.
Some how I was befriended to an naval officer, Sadhu Kisen Singh , turned as a Christian, from a high caste Hindu background out of curiosity, having come to my area, drew me up casually into a street meeting of him. I attended that meeting, it caught me, and I committed my life to Jesus in the year 1988 and was given baptism by Pastor D.B.Abraham, new life fellowship, on March 10th of the same year. After 3 Months, I was anointed with Holy Spirit Baptism.
Then I was employed as a clinical lab technician and a part-time steno. Gradually I lost my interest in that job. A deep love towards gospel work grow deep within me by a God's prophesy. With the courage given by God moved me along with my wife and two children to the small town, Tanuku. It was through tract ministry that I was able to find a house to initiate prayer cell and for a few days with 20-25 members regularly attended and began to commit their lives to God. Thus in September 1st 1989 a church ministry was started in this town, Tanuku of West Godavari, A.P., South India |
